Job summary

SpecialtyRx is a Long-Term Care pharmacy that provides services to facilities in East St. Louis, IL and surrounding Southern Illinois and St. Louis areas. We seek an ADU Travel Technician who will travel to facilities, manage ADS inventories, and coordinate with pharmacy teams to ensure accuracy and compliance.

The role requires a Pharmacy Technician license, travel willingness, and strong attention to detail. Competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Active Pharmacy Technician license or registration as required by state.
• Previous pharmacy, inventory management, or ADS experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently across multiple locations.
• Strong written communication skills.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel locally.
• Ability to perform light lifting.

Responsibilities

• Travel to assigned healthcare facilities throughout East St. Louis, IL and surrounding areas.
• Maintain active communication with client facility staff and pharmacy teams, primarily via email.
• Maintain accurate inventory records within each ADS, including medication quantities and expiration dates.
• Identify, investigate, and resolve inventory discrepancies to ensure accurate billing.
• Replace medications approaching expiration to maintain compliance and patient safety.
• Perform monthly audits (cycle counts) to ensure system accuracy and compliance with policies.
• Represent SpecialtyRx professionally while onsite at client facilities.
• Complete additional tasks as assigned by supervisor.

We are committed to supporting healthcare facilities throughout the East St. Louis, IL and surrounding Southern Illinois and St. Louis metropolitan areas by maintaining accurate, compliant, and efficient Automated Dispensing Systems (ADS). Our team ensures medications are readily available, properly tracked, and aligned with billing and regulatory standards.

ADU Travel Technician – East St. Louis, IL & Surrounding Areas

Responsibilities:

• Work independently under the direction of a supervisor.
• Travel to assigned healthcare facilities throughout East St. Louis, IL and surrounding areas.
• Maintain active communication with client facility staff and pharmacy teams, primarily via email.
• Maintain accurate inventory records within each Automated Dispensing System (ADS), including:

Schedule:

• Day shift (schedule may vary based on facility needs).
• Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM or 9:00 AM–5:30 PM.
• Local travel required throughout East St. Louis, IL and surrounding Southern Illinois and St. Louis metropolitan areas.
