Title: Route Truck Driver - NonCDL

Position Purpose:

The Medical Waste Route Driver is responsible for servicing assigned accounts professionally, ensuring customer needs are met for waste pickup and supply delivery. The role emphasizes providing the highest level of customer service, including transporting waste between Stericycle locations or customer sites to transfer or processing facilities.

All company vehicles are equipped with telematics cameras, ELD (electronic logging device), and GPS.

Key Job Activities:
  1. Manage assigned routes to ensure timely, safe, and accurate waste pickup.
  2. Pick up and transport waste safely, complying with all regulations.
  3. Plan daily schedules based on customer needs, reviewing route sheets and manifest data.
  4. Follow routing software schedules.
  5. Prepare and load trucks, ensuring supplies are adequate and waste is secured.
  6. Collect waste from customer sites, ensuring proper packaging and compliance.
  7. Provide excellent customer service, communicating any issues for resolution.
  8. Secure waste, supplies, and equipment before operating vehicles.
  9. Complete paperwork accurately and legibly, including DOT logs if applicable.
  10. Communicate route changes or issues to supervisors or dispatchers.
  11. Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle maintenance and report problems.
  12. Perform other duties as needed.
Experience:
  • Minimum 6 months experience in driving shred/box trucks and route management preferred.
  • Must be 21 years or older.
Licenses and Certifications:
  • Valid standard driver's license (Class D or above) with an excellent driving record.
  • Ability to obtain and retain a Medical Examiner's Card.
  • Medical Examiners Certification required.
