Title: Route Truck Driver - NonCDL

Position Purpose:

The Medical Waste Route Driver is responsible for servicing assigned accounts professionally, ensuring customer needs are met for waste pickup and supply delivery. They may also transport waste between Stericycle locations or customer sites and transfer or processing facilities. All company vehicles are equipped with cameras, ELDs, and GPS.

Key Job Activities:
  1. Manage routes to ensure timely and safe waste pickup.
  2. Transport waste safely according to regulations.
  3. Plan daily schedules based on customer needs and review route documentation.
  4. Follow routing software schedules.
  5. Prepare and load trucks, ensuring supplies are adequate, and unload at designated sites.
  6. Collect waste from customer sites, ensuring proper packaging and compliance.
  7. Provide excellent customer service, communicating issues promptly.
  8. Secure waste, supplies, and equipment before operating the vehicle.
  9. Complete and submit all required paperwork accurately and legibly.
  10. Communicate route changes or issues to supervisors and ensure coverage awareness.
  11. Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle maintenance and report issues.
  12. Perform other duties as assigned.
Experience:
  • Minimum 6 months of driving experience, preferably with shred/box trucks and route management.
  • Must be 21 years or older.
Licenses and Certifications:
  • Valid standard driver's license (Class D or above) with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Medical Examiner Card.
  • Medical Examiners Certification.
