Northwell Health is seeking a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room to provide comprehensive patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Ideal for experienced nurses who thrive in a collaborative environment and demonstrate strong clinical judgment.

The role is based in Norwalk, CT, offers a full-time schedule, and pays $77 per hour. The position requires 1–2 years of relevant nursing experience, an ASN with a preference for a BSN, and active licensure in NY or CT

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing required; bachelor’s preferred.
• Minimum 1–2 years of professional nursing experience in the operating room or related specialty.
• Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State and/or Connecticut.
• BLS certification required; additional specialized certifications as needed.

Responsabilités

• Assess the patient’s physiologic health status.
• Conduct patient interviews and explain policies and procedures.
• Determine mobility, sensory deficits, and skin condition.
• Assess level of pain and pain management.
• Communicate and document patient’s physiologic health status and plan of care.
• Elicit perception of medical/nursing care from patients.
• Develop criteria for measurement of patient outcomes.
• Formulate the plan of care and establish priorities.
• Maintain constant vigilance over patient care.
• Administer medications correctly and safely.
