Job summary

Comfort Systems USA Shoffner in Arden/Asheville, NC seeks a Piping/Welding Foreman with 5+ years of commercial piping and welding experience to lead field teams. The role emphasizes safety, scheduling, and quality control for project execution in a lean, fast-paced environment.

You will oversee layout, installation, and coordination with PMs and GC, train journeymen and apprentices, and ensure compliance with codes and contracts. Local candidates preferred; travel not required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial piping and/or welding installation.
• Foreman experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents.

Responsibilities

• Safety is our #1 priority. Ensure everyone is working in a safe manner and always wearing appropriate PPE.
• Coordinate daily work activities to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.
• Perform layout, installation oversight, and quality control of commercial piping systems.
• Plan manpower, materials, tools, and equipment required for assigned work.
• Maintain accurate daily reports, timekeeping records, and project documentation.
• Train, mentor, and develop journeymen and apprentices.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Superintendents, General Contractors, and other trades to resolve field issues.
• Inspect work to ensure compliance with contract requirements, company standards, and applicable codes.
• Support project startup, testing, commissioning, and turnover activities.
