Interstate Moving | Relocation | Logistics is seeking a Local Operations Manager to lead the service center's daily workload from an operational and warehousing perspective, ensuring efficiency and service excellence.
You will direct dispatch, plan routes, supervise up to 250 staff, and coordinate with Van Lines Operations to keep shipments within the service area. A background in HHG management is preferred.
The Local Operations Manager is responsible for directing and managing the daily workload of their Service Center from an Operational and Warehousing perspective ensuring that their Service Center is organized, efficient and effective in delivering service excellence.

Directly supervises up to 250 employees in the Local Dispatch Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

One year certificate from college or technical school; or two to three years related HHG management experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
