Job summary

Ready Mixed Concrete Co., a CRH Company, is seeking a Ready-Mix Driver to transport freshly mixed concrete from the plant to job sites in a safe manner. You will perform routine checks, operate a mixer truck, and ensure proper load handling and documentation.

The role requires a Class A or B CDL, DOT compliance, and the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Expect varied weather conditions and a focus on safe delivery practices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in ready mixed trucks or related industry preferred.
• Must meet safety and DOT requirements.

Responsibilities

• Comply with all Department of Transportation requirements including licensing, vehicle inspection, and hours of service.
• Operates truck in safe and professional manner on public highways, roads, in the yard area and at various job sites to deliver materials.
• Inspects the truck at the start of each workday and completes the Driver Check-off Sheet.
• Maneuvers the truck to deliver concrete to the point of delivery and backs under batching plant or hopper.
• Climbs the mixer truck ladder to view load and inspect drum cleanliness.
• Adjusts the trailer axle pressure based on load weight.
• Follows written and verbal instructions and completes necessary paperwork.
• Assembles concrete chute(s) weighing 30-50 pounds each.
• Maintains truck cleanliness and basic maintenance; prevents concrete buildup.
• Meets eligibility for driving a commercial motor vehicle under FMCSA/DOT rules.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
