Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Patient Service Technician to join our team. In this position, you will be responsible for delivering and setting up equipment at the delivery address. You will educate the patient and/or caregiver on the safe use and maintenance of the delivered item.

- Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding the use of personal protective safety equipment and services.
- Assist in resolving customer equipment problems under emergency conditions.
- Participate in quality improvement programs to meet company and JCAHO standards.
- Assume on-call responsibilities during non-business hours as per company policy.
- Report vehicle issues that could compromise safe operations.
- Complete shipping documentation when transporting hazardous materials, following Rotech policies.
- Maintain written patient visit reports after setup and follow-up visits.
- Deliver and educate patients on the safe use and maintenance of respiratory and HME equipment in home or office settings.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of current HME products, services, and applicable regulations.
- Understand reimbursement processes and document all relevant information accurately.
- Enhance technical knowledge of HME or respiratory products as appropriate.
- Keep assigned company vehicle in a clean and safe condition.
- Maintain the delivery activity database.
- Manage home oxygen systems in patients' homes according to company policy.
- Reach service goals by managing territory and delivering equipment and oxygen as required, complying with industry standards and regulations.
- Prepare and maintain records including invoices, work orders, manifests, and logs.
- Process orders and paperwork accurately and promptly.
- Report equipment hazards or incidents per company policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Travel
Travel via company vehicle to patient homes for setups and recurring deliveries.
Qualifications
Employment contingent on background check, drug screening (if applicable), and valid driver’s license with a clean record (if applicable).
Required Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED required.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Experience with medical equipment preferred.
- One year of related work experience preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

Machines, Equipment, and Technical Abilities
- Use email, internet, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and office equipment.
- Be mechanically inclined for equipment repair and troubleshooting.
- Understand proper procedures for loading, unloading, and securing cargo.
- Understand use of home respiratory equipment and supplies.
Physical Demands
- Lift and carry office and patient equipment.
- Sit, walk, stand, talk, and listen as required.
- Use close vision for small print and paperwork.
- Lift minimum of 65 pounds and transport patient equipment.
- Potential exposure to contagious pathogens.
- Drive a company vehicle for most of the workday.
- Comply with respiratory protection and N95 mask fit testing policies, including facial hair requirements.
