and GROW?As the "face of Airgas," the Local Delivery Driver is responsible for safely and efficiently delivering compressed gas cylinders to local and regional business customers from an Airgas branch or plant location using a company-provided straight or box truck. The Local Delivery Driver loads, unloads, delivers, and returns compressed gas cylinders while frequently interacting with Airgas customers.

As a Local Delivery Driver at Airgas, you will be a part of a professional team that encourages internal mobility while offering our employees a work / life balance. In addition, Airgas operates a modern and efficient fleet. Most vehicles are under 6 years old and equipped with driver-friendly technology, such as On Board Computers, collision avoidance technology, latest camera technology and GPS navigation.

Position Title : LOCAL DELIVERY DRIVER

Location : Little Rock, AR

Straight Truck – Class A or B CDL with Hazmat Endorsement required.

In particular, you will :

Drives truck over established route todeliverand sell products while performing the following duties :

Drives truck todelivergasses and hard goods to customer's place of business.

Performs any non-routedelivery(s) necessary to provide customers with product.

Writes customer order and instructions.

Records sales or deliveries information on daily sales ordeliveryrecord.

Listens to and resolves service complaints.

Issues sales promotion materials to customers.

Collects or picks up empty containers or rejected or unsold merchandise. Loads truck.

Issues or obtains customer signature on receipt for pickup ordelivery.

Cleans inside of truck. Performs routine maintenance checks on truck.

Complies with all company policies and meets DOT requirements.

Assists inside store, servicing customers at dock, front counter and over the phone.

Attend safety meetings as scheduled before, during or after daily shift.

Assists with otherdriver’s scheduled duties as needed.

Must have one year of Class A or B CDL driving experience or have graduated from an accredited driving school.

Class A or B CDL with Hazmat endorsement.

At least one full year of experience driving a Class A or B vehicle under DOT requirements.

Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).

Current Medical Examiner’s Card.

Ability to read and comprehend material safety data sheets.

Ability to routinely lift 25 – 75 lbs., and occasionally lift 76 to greater than 125 pounds with the aid of material handling equipment.

Must be able to drive hazardous cargo for up to 8 hours; frequent bending is also required.

Ability to work independently and under some pressure to meet deadlines.

Must be able to work occasional overtime if necessary.
