Overview and Responsibilities
Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Patient Service Technician to join our team. This role involves delivering and setting up equipment at the delivery address, educating patients and/or caregivers on the safe use and maintenance of the equipment.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Adhere to company policies regarding safety equipment and procedures.
  • Assist in resolving customer equipment problems under emergency conditions.
  • Implement quality improvement programs to meet standards.
  • Assume on-call responsibilities during non-business hours as per company policy.
  • Report vehicle problems that may affect safe operations.
  • Complete shipping documents for hazardous materials according to policy.
  • Maintain written patient visit reports following setup and follow-up visits.
  • Deliver and educate patients on respiratory and HME equipment use and maintenance.
  • Maintain knowledge of current HME products and regulations.
  • Develop reimbursement knowledge and document information accurately.
  • Maintain company vehicle in good condition.
  • Manage territory to meet service goals, deliver equipment, and oxygen as required.
  • Prepare and maintain records such as invoices, work orders, and logs.
  • Report hazards and incidents as required.
  • Work cooperatively with others, manage multiple tasks, and perform other duties as assigned.
Travel

Travel via company vehicle to patient homes for setups and deliveries.

Qualifications
  • Employment contingent on background check and drug screening.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean record.
Required Education and/or Experience
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Experience with medical equipment and related work preferred.
Skills and Competencies
  • Mathematical skills, effective communication, confidentiality, multitasking, organization, problem-solving, ability to work independently and in a team.
Machines, Equipment, and Technical Skills
  • Proficiency with email, internet, Microsoft Office, office equipment, and mechanical skills for troubleshooting.
Physical Demands
  • Lift and carry equipment, sit, stand, walk, and perform tasks requiring visual acuity.
