Velocity TruckingPros LLC in Chicago offers a Local CDL-A Night Driver position with dedicated intermodal freight. You work night shifts, pull containers from Chicago rail yards, and return home daily to your own bed.

Routes cover Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan, Iowa and Indiana with weekend work on a fixed schedule. The role requires a valid Class A CDL and DOT medical card, 6+ months of verifiable tractor-trailer experience or 12 months in 5 years, and a clean driving record.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL and current DOT medical card.
• Night-shift driving experience preferred.
• Intermodal container experience a plus.
• Clean driving record and pass pre-employment drug screen.
• 5+ years of driving not required; minimum verifiable experience stated.

Responsibilities

• Pull containers from Chicago rail yards and run local/regional lanes across five states.
• Operate a dedicated night schedule with heavy drop-and-hook work.
• No required loading/unloading by driver; some live loads occasionally.
• Return home daily to your own bed after each shift.
• Follow traffic laws and maintain safety while on intermodal routes.
