Job summary

Weinberg Community for Senior Living in Deerfield, IL is seeking a Transportation Driver for Home Delivered Meals. This full-time, on-site role delivers meals to homebound clients, ensuring proper temperature and privacy, Monday–Friday, 6:30 am–2:00 pm.

100% on-site work with local travel and SEIU Local 73 union membership required. Applicant must have a valid IL driver’s license, high school diploma or GED, and meet the agency’s driver evaluation policy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 21 years of age or older.
• Valid Illinois driver’s license.
• Must meet Driver Evaluation Policy requirements and driving record standards.
• Must be able to speak, read and write English.

Responsibilities

• Delivers fresh/hot and frozen meals to homebound clients as assigned.
• Protects client privacy and safety during delivery.
• Monitors client condition and reports changes to the office.
• Follows loading, delivery, and food handling procedures.
• Verifies food temperature and quality at delivery.
• Operates vehicle and safety equipment properly.
