Job summary

CHS in Herman, MN is looking for a Propane Truck Driver to join our team. You will haul propane to customers, assist with tank service/maintenance, and maintain safe, timely operations. The schedule is Monday–Friday with weekend work during busy seasons.

A Class A CDL with hazmat/tanker endorsements is required or must be obtained. Responsibilities include safe transport, inspections, DOT compliance, and accurate documentation, with strong emphasis on customer service and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A or Class B CDL (as required for the equipment/route).
• Valid Hazmat endorsement required, or willingness to obtain within the required timeframe.
• Have a minimum of 1 year of verifiable CDL driving experience
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and compliance, and complete required documentation accurately

Responsibilities

• Safely transport and deliver hazardous materials to customer locations using a semi-tractor and trailer and or bobtail truck in a safe, compliant manner, and timely manner.
• Load and unload products by connecting/disconnecting loading arms and hoses; follow all hazardous material handling and transfer safety procedures.
• Deliver professional, customer-focused service during pickups and deliveries, and coordinate with internal teams as needed.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections; report equipment issues, maintenance needs, incidents, or near misses promptly. Perform interior maintenance and upkeep as needed.
• Prepare delivery documentation and daily load/unload reports; record accurate electronic logs
• Comply with DOT regulations and company policies for safe driving, including route and hazard awareness. Immediately notify leadership of incidents, near misses, spills/releases, or safety concerns
• Perform additional duties as assigned
