Job summary

VSG Business Solutions LLC seeks a seasoned AWS Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and optimize cloud infrastructure for government-related projects in the Washington, DC area. The role focuses on scalable networks, secure IAM, and managed Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• Experience with AWS core services (VPC, EC2, S3, IAM) and managed Kubernetes (EKS).
• Government or federal agency project experience preferred.
• Proficient in IaC using Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Strong logging, monitoring and incident troubleshooting abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provision, configure, and maintain AWS infrastructure components supporting EDP environments.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and other approved tools.
• Support CI/CD pipelines deployed across development, testing, and production.
• Maintain version-controlled infrastructure code with GitLab/GitHub/Bitbucket.
• Assist with AWS networking configuration including VPCs, subnets, and routing.
• Support EKS-based containers and basic troubleshooting.
• Configure platform monitoring, alerting, dashboards, and health checks using CloudWatch/CloudTrail.
• Analyze CloudWatch logs and CloudTrail events for operational or security issues.
• Document configurations, procedures, and runbooks.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to improve automation and reliability.
