Job summary

WorkNovas LLC in Washington, DC is seeking a Sr. IT DevSecOps Engineer to design and secure cloud infrastructure across Development, Test, Staging, and Production environments.

You will lead the development and maintenance of Infrastructure as Code and build robust, compliant CI/CD pipelines. The role requires 5+ years in DevOps or Cloud Engineering, AWS GovCloud experience, and a strong foundation in security best practices and monitoring.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT and 6+ years of related experience.
• Experience with AWS GovCloud and cloud security compliance.
• Proficient with Terraform and IaC tooling.
• Experience building secure CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.

Sr. IT DevSecOps Engineer

Location: Washington, DC (Onsite)

• Minimum 5+ years of DevOps or Cloud Engineering experience
• Proven experience developing and deploying cloud-native applications
• Experience implementing and maintaining secure CI/CD pipelines
• 3+ years of hands-on AWS experience
• Minimum 1 year of AWS GovCloud experience
• Experience with cloud security best practices and compliance frameworks (FedRAMP, FISMA, etc.)
• Experience managing multiple environments (Development, Test, Staging, Production)
• Strong Agile team collaboration experience

Technical Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, plus 6+ years of experience
• AWS GovCloud expertise
• Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools
• Python and/or Bash scripting
• GitLab CI/CD or similar CI/CD tools
• Docker, Kubernetes, ECS
• AWS CloudWatch and monitoring solutions
• Cloud networking concepts
• Identity and Access Management (IAM)
• Git/version control systems
