Job summary

MJ Tank Lines is a family-owned bulk petroleum transportation company in Southern California seeking highly professional CDL Class A HazMat Fuel Tanker Drivers to join our growing fleet. Drivers deliver refined petroleum products safely and efficiently, using best-in-class equipment, with a commitment to Integrity Delivered.

Responsibilities include loading and deliveries per guidelines, completing pre/post-trip inspections, maintaining logs, using ELDs, navigating Southern California routes,

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Class A CDL with Tanker (X) and HazMat endorsements.
• Minimum 36 months of verifiable commercial driving experience.
• Experience driving trucks totaling GVW over 26,000 pounds.
• Must pass pre-employment physical, background, and drug/alcohol tests.
• Current medical certificate, with no restrictions or limitations.
• Must be able to pass our road test with a vehicle chosen by the company.
• Must be able to acquire and maintain loading privileges at all Southern California terminals.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
• Adherence to California labor laws (meal and rest breaks).
• TWIC preferred but not required.
• Experience in petroleum transportation highly preferred.

• Utilize onboard electronics, including ELDs
• Navigate Southern California geography and freeway systems
• Route around traffic and hazards utilizing maps and/or GPS
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and other related equipment as necessary
• Promote company Core Values and Integrity
• Work additional varying hours, which may include weekends, holidays, and overtime

• Must possess and maintain a valid Class A driver's license in the state of residence with Tanker and Hazardous Materials (X) endorsements


• Minimum of 36 months recent and verifiable commercial vehicle experience


• Experience driving trucks totaling gross vehicle weight (GVW) over 26,000 pounds


• Must be able to pass pre-employment physical, background screening, and drug/alcohol test


• Current medical certificate, with no restrictions or limitations


• Must be able to pass our road test with a vehicle chosen by the company


• Must be able to acquire and maintain loading privileges at all Southern California terminals


• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds


• Adherence to California labor laws (meal and rest breaks)


• TWIC (Transportation Worker's Identification Credential) preferred but not required


• Experience in petroleum transportation highly preferred

Compensation

$29.00- $41.00 per hour (depending on years of service and additional premiums for weekend work.)
