Job summary

The National Association of State Departments of Agriculture is seeking an intermittent, part-time interviewer to collect data from farmers in your local area. You will interview in person or by phone, with some evenings and weekends as needed. Training is provided and mileage is reimbursed in addition to hourly pay.

Expect a flexible schedule with a cap of 400-500 hours per year. A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle are required.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.
• Knowledge of agriculture is helpful.
• Comfortable approaching strangers and starting conversations.
• Good communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Interview farmers in person or over the phone.
• Travel within local area as needed and maintain accurate records.
• Pass background and motor vehicle record checks when required.
