Job summary

Elevate Textiles seeks a CDL Driver for local routes between manufacturing facilities and local suppliers. The role covers day runs within the local area and requires safe operation of a tractor-trailer and compliance with all transport laws.

The ideal candidate will have a valid CDL with hazmat endorsement, a current DOT medical certificate, and at least 2 years of driving experience, with strong attention to regulatory requirements and documentation accuracy.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of OTR or local driving experience.
• Valid CDL with hazmat endorsement.
• Current DOT medical examiner's certificate.
• Familiar with hours of service (HOS) regulations.
• Maintain accurate freight documents and logs.

Responsibilities

• Operate a tractor/trailer on public highways to pickup and deliver freight.
• Obey all federal and state laws in operation of a CMV.
• Maintain required records including inspection and driver logs.
• Monitor and redistribute freight loads to comply with weight per axle regulations.
• Adhere to company and department regulations for safe operation.

Job description

Elevate Textiles, a leading manufacturer and marketing of advanced textiles, is looking for CDL Driver to join the company's internal trucking fleet. This position would cover local, day routes between manufacturing facilities and local suppliers.

Specific responsibilities include:

• Operate a tractor/trailer combination vehicle over public highways to pickup and deliver freight as directed by dispatch. Obey all federal and state laws in the operation of a commercial vehicle.
• Maintain a valid commercial drivers license with hazardous materials endorsement and maintain a current and valid DOT medical examiners certificate that allows operation of a commercial vehicle.
• Maintain required records including vehicle inspection log and driver log book, observing all laws and regulations governing hours of service (HOS) for commercial drivers. Insure all freight documents accompany the freight shipment and are signed and submitted as required.
• Monitor and redistribute freight load as necessary to insure compliance of federal and state weight per axle regulations.
• Adhere to all regulations and requirements as set forth by the company and department to insure the safe operation of a tractor/trailer combination vehicle.

Qualified candidates will have at least 2 years over the road or local experience, safe driving record and desire to be part of a professional team.
