Job summary

Elevate Textiles, a leading manufacturer and marketer of advanced textiles, is looking for a CDL Driver to join the company's internal trucking fleet. This position covers local day routes between manufacturing facilities and local suppliers, based out of its operations in Greensboro, NC and Burlington, NC.

The job requires operating a Class A commercial truck within safety guidelines as prescribed by the company and the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of over‑the‑road experience.
• Safe driving record.
• Desire to be part of a professional team.

Responsibilities

• Operate a tractor/trailer combination vehicle over public highways to pick up and deliver freight as directed by dispatch.
• Obey all federal and state laws in the operation of a commercial vehicle.
• Maintain a valid commercial driver's license and a current DOT medical examiner certificate that allows operation of a commercial vehicle.
• Maintain required records, including a vehicle inspection log and driver logbook, and observe all laws and regulations governing hours of service (HOS) for commercial drivers.
• Ensure all freight documents accompany the shipment and are signed and submitted as required.
• Monitor and redistribute freight loads as necessary to ensure compliance with federal and state weight‑per‑axle regulations.
• Adhere to all regulations and requirements set forth by the company and department to ensure the safe operation of a tractor/trailer combination vehicle.
