Job summary

Elevate Textiles in Tennessee invites applications for a CDL Driver to join our internal trucking fleet for local day routes between manufacturing facilities and suppliers.

You will operate a tractor-trailer, maintain a clean driving record, and ensure compliance with DOT standards. Must hold a valid CDL with Hazmat endorsement and a current DOT medical certificate; minimum 2 years of driving experience required.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL with Hazmat endorsement and DOT medical certificate.
• Minimum 2 years of over-the-road or local driving experience.
• Safe driving record and ability to operate tractor-trailer.

Responsibilities

• Operate a tractor/trailer combination vehicle over public highways to pickup and deliver freight as directed by dispatch.
• Maintain a valid commercial drivers license with hazardous materials endorsement and maintain a current and valid DOT medical examiners certificate that allows operation of a commercial vehicle.
• Maintain required records including vehicle inspection log and driver log book, observing all laws and regulations governing hours of service (HOS) for commercial drivers.
• Monitor and redistribute freight load as necessary to insure compliance of federal and state weight per axle regulations.
• Adhere to all regulations and requirements as set forth by the company and department to insure the safe operation of a tractor/trailer combination vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Operate a tractor/trailer combination vehicle over public highways to pickup and deliver freight as directed by dispatch. Obey all federal and state laws in the operation of a commercial vehicle.
• Maintain a valid commercial drivers license with hazardous materials endorsement and maintain a current and valid DOT medical examiners certificate that allows operation of a commercial vehicle.
• Maintain required records including vehicle inspection log and driver log book, observing all laws and regulations governing hours of service (HOS) for commercial drivers. Insure all freight documents accompany the freight shipment and are signed and submitted as required.
• Monitor and redistribute freight load as necessary to insure compliance of federal and state weight per axle regulations.
• Adhere to all regulations and requirements as set forth by the company and department to insure the safe operation of a tractor/trailer combination vehicle.

Qualified candidates will have at least 2 years over the road or local experience, safe driving record and desire to be part of a professional team.
