Job summary

Elevate Textiles is seeking a CDL Driver to join its internal trucking fleet for local day routes between Greensboro and Burlington, NC. The role operates a Class A tractor-trailer on local routes and requires strict adherence to safety guidelines and company policies.

Qualified candidates will have at least 2 years of over-the-road experience, a clean driving record, and a commitment to teamwork and safety in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate a tractor/trailer to pick up and deliver freight as directed by dispatch.
• Obey all federal and state regulations for commercial vehicles.
• Maintain CDL and DOT medical certificate and keep logs up to date.
• Maintain required records such as vehicle inspection logs and driver logs, including hours of service.
• Ensure freight documents accompany shipments and are signed and submitted as required.
• Monitor and adjust freight loads to comply with weight per axle regulations.

Job description

Elevate Textiles, a leading manufacturer and marketing of advanced textiles, is looking for CDL Driverto join thecompany's internal trucking fleet. This position would coverlocal, day routes betweenmanufacturing facilities and local suppliers, based out of its operations in Greensboro, NC and Burlington, NC.

The job requires that you operate a ClassA commercial truck combination vehicle within safety guidelines as prescribed by the company and by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration.

Specific responsibilities include:

• - Operate a tractor/trailer combination vehicle over public highways to pick upand deliver freight as directed by dispatch. Obey all federal and state laws in the operation of a commercial vehicle.
• - Maintain a valid commercial driver'slicense and maintain a current and valid DOT medical examiners certificate that allows operation of a commercial vehicle.
• - Maintain required records including vehicle inspection log and driver logbook, observing all laws and regulations governing hours of service (HOS) for commercial drivers. Ensureall freight documents accompany the freight shipment and are signed and submitted as required.
• - Monitor and redistribute freight load as necessary to ensurecompliance of federal and state weight per axle regulations.
• -Adhere to all regulations and requirements as set forth by the company and department to insure the safe operation of a tractor/trailer combination vehicle.
