Job summary

Home Depot in Ventura, CA is hiring an Order Picker & Delivery Driver. This role involves local, non-CDL deliveries using box trucks under 26,000 lbs, with a strong emphasis on customer service and safe handling of merchandise.

You will load/unload items, navigate to customer locations, and provide updates via a handheld device. A valid driver’s license, clean MVR, and ability to pass a DOT screening are required.

Qualifications

• Must be legally allowed to work in the United States.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Valid, active Driver's License.
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record.
• Ability to load/unload heavy items up to 70 lbs.
• Must pass DOT physical, criminal check and drug screen.
• Familiar with local and surrounding areas.
• Ability to read a GPS and follow directions.

Responsibilities

• Direct customer interaction and customer service.
• Drive a non-CDL vehicle on local routes and deliver to homes/businesses.
• Load the truck efficiently for unload and verify customer orders.
• Update orders via handheld device and communicate delivery updates.
• Climb in/out of delivery cab and perform overtime as required.
