Job summary

HD Supply is seeking a delivery driver to serve a California service area. You will operate company-provided or rental vehicles, deliver customer orders, and maintain delivery records. MVR status and a valid license are required, with ongoing monitoring by the company.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading, route adherence, order accuracy, pre/post-trip inspections, and customer communication to update on deliveries and issues.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED strongly preferred; generally 2-5 years of experience in area of responsibility.
• Prior experience delivering merchandise to customers using a box truck or similar vehicle.
• 1+ years of experience operating material handling equipment.
• Company will monitor Motor Vehicle Records (MVRs) and require an acceptable MVR status and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Delivers customer orders safely within a service area, interfacing with customers on order issues; follows planned routes for timely deliveries.
• Loads inventory into trucks and unloads orders at customer sites using material handling equipment; maintains professional customer service during deliveries.
• Reviews order manifests to ensure accuracy of orders and daily routes.
• Performs pre- and post-trip inspections in line with Department of Transportation regulations and internal policies.
• Maintains contact with distribution center for updates on delivery interruptions or missing orders.
• Prepares and maintains vehicle and customer order records per company policies.
• Contacts customers to provide updates on delivery statuses.
• Provides feedback to management on escalated customer service and sales-related issues.
