Job summary

Qualifications

• One year route delivery experience or driving a straight truck.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License - Class B (Class A preferred).
• Ability to read and speak English sufficently to converse with the public, read highway signs, and prepare reports.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical, customer relations, and personnel management for major programs and projects.
• Runs routes efficiently, meeting or exceeding designated route times.
• Unload product from trailer, by hand or with a hand cart, and place in designated storage areas.
• Frequently lift, push, or move product up to 100 pounds and stack pallets.
• Verify delivery with customer and obtain signatures.
• Contact management for authorization when discrepancies on invoice.
• Call when a customer does not receive the full order (shorts).
• Handle customer complaints professionally.
• Follow DOT regulations and Sysco safety procedures for pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Organize a truck and make deliveries efficiently.
• Check whether a truck is operating well enough for the route.
