Kirchner Building Centers is hiring a Delivery Driver for building materials and lumberyard operations in Paxton, IL. The role requires a clean driving record, Class B CDL preferred, and the ability to obtain forklift certification within 30 days of hire.

Daily local routes and safety compliance are emphasized. The position supports yard operations, loads and unloads materials, and ensures on-time delivery while maintaining vehicle and equipment in good condition.

Qualifications

• Clean driving record.
• Class B CDL (or above) preferred.
• Ability to obtain forklift certification within 30 days of hire.
• Able to travel to Paxton, IL daily.
• Prior knowledge of load capacity, safety guidelines and general maintenance of trucks a plus.
• Must be able to complete pre-employment screenings.

Responsibilities

• Keep trucks and forklift clean and in working condition.
• Perform pre-trip inspection of truck and routine maintenance.
• Inform manager of necessary truck repairs and schedule them.
• Check delivery product for accuracy and secure the load.
• Communicate with customers about deliveries and obtain signatures.
• Unload material by hand or with Boom Truck/Moffett forklift.
• Adhere to OSHA and Kirchner Building Centers safety standards.
