Job summary

Gunton Corporation is seeking a punctual delivery driver to operate the local routes and complete deliveries to customers. You will be responsible for the safe operation of the delivery truck and secure handling of all units, with a focus on timely, courteous service.

This role requires physical stamina, ability to lift 100 pounds, and a clean driving record; morning shift 5:30am to 2:00pm; familiarity with route maps and proper paperwork for deliveries and returns.

Qualifications

• Morning shift available (5:30am - 2:00pm).
• Able to push/pull 100 pounds and use material handling equipment.
• Safe driving record and ability to operate a large delivery truck.
• Able to read maps and become familiar with truck routes.
• Carry or obtain a valid Department of Transportation medical card.
• Able to drive manual transmission trucks.

Responsibilities

• Create a positive service environment with customers and ensure satisfaction.
• Safely operate a delivery vehicle and maintain time and maintenance records.
• Ensure safe storage and handling of all units on the delivery truck.
• Complete all paperwork for deliveries and returns, including tickets and returns authorizations.
• Unload windows and doors using equipment provided in the truck.
• Meet and exceed delivery driver productivity goals.
• Suggest improvements to deliveries and loading processes.
• Follow all federal transportation rules and regulations.
• Meet scheduled delivery times to satisfy customers.
• Pull product and/or load trucks as needed.
