Job summary

Gunton Corporation is seeking a Local Delivery Driver to safely operate the delivery truck, keep products secure, and build positive relationships with customers on every route. You will meet delivery times and follow all applicable regulations.

The role requires a Class A license, a clean driving record, ability to lift 100 pounds, read maps, use handling equipment, and obtain a DOT medical card. Morning shift 6:00am–2:00pm; manual transmission experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires Class A license and clean driving record.
• Able to lift 100+ pounds and operate handling equipment.
• Must read maps, follow directions and know local routes.
• DOT medical card required or able to obtain.
• Proficient in manual transmission driving.
• Experience delivering with trucks is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create a positive service environment with customers and ensure satisfaction.
• Safely operate a delivery vehicle, track time and maintenance records.
• Ensure safe storage and handling of all units on the truck.
• Complete all paperwork for deliveries and returns, including tickets and returns authorizations.
• Unload windows and doors using material handling equipment in the truck.
• Meet and exceed all delivery driver productivity goals.
• Recommend continuous improvements to deliveries and loading processes.
• Follow all federal regulations for transportation of goods.
• Meet scheduled delivery times to satisfy customer expectations.
• Pull product and/or load trucks as needed.
