Job summary

Pella Windows and Doors by Gunton Corporation is seeking a delivery driver to safely operate a large delivery truck, load and unload windows and doors, and maintain accurate paperwork. You will interact with customers to foster a positive service environment and ensure on-time deliveries.

The role requires a clean driving record, ability to lift heavy objects, and familiarity with truck routes. Morning shifts are required and DOT medical certification may be needed.

Qualifications

• Morning shift availability (6:00am - 2:00pm).
• Ability to push, pull, and move heavy objects (100+ pounds) and knowledge of effective use of material handling equipment.
• Experience driving Class A.
• A safe driving record and the ability to safely operate a large delivery truck.
• Ability to read maps, follow directions, and become familiar with truck routes.
• Carry or ability to obtain a valid Department of Transportation medical card.
• Ability to drive manual transmission trucks.

Responsibilities

• Create a positive service environment with customers, ensuring strong customer satisfaction.
• Safely operate a delivery vehicle, keeping track of time and maintenance records.
• Ensure the safe storage and handling of all units on the delivery truck.
• Properly complete all paperwork pertaining to product deliveries and returns, including the delivery tickets and returned goods authorizations.
• Unload windows and doors utilizing material handling equipment provided in the delivery truck.
• Meet and exceed all delivery driver productivity goals.
• Make recommendations for continuous improvement to deliveries, loading, etc.
• Follow all federal government rules and regulations regarding transportation of goods.
• Meet scheduled delivery times to satisfy customer expectations.
• Pull product and/or load trucks as needed.

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for the safe operation of the company delivery truck while ensuring the product inside is secure at all times. Maintains good relationships with customers and demonstrates strong customer service skills. Must be physically able to move and lift heavy objects.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS

Reports directly to the Manager of Order Fulfillment or the Warehouse Manager.
