Driver - In Store Sales (Transportation)

Location: Nederland, TX

Pay Range: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour, Depending on experience.

What you will be doing:

1. Provides customer support by taking phone orders, addressing inquiries, tracking order status and shipments, and solving customer issues.
2. Assesses and recommends products while promoting additional sales of hard goods and gases to achieve target margins.
3. Conducts product demonstrations for customers using customer insight to drive and guide the development of new offerings.
4. Works closely with and provides sales support to the Outside Sales team.
5. Maintains customer records and files, including accurate account setup and pricing.
6. Performs warehouse duties and moves cylinders for customers as needed.
7. Delivers products to customers by making an average of 10-12 stops per day, while touching freight, completing paperwork, and providing excellent customer service.
8. Accurately counts and records the quantities and styles of products delivered and picked up.
9. Completes hazardous material shipping orders papers in accordance with DOT regulations.
10. Conducts and reports pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
11. Identifies need for timely vehicle repairs and/or maintenance.
12. Builds both relationships and partnerships with internal and external customers to meet goals and objectives of the business and customer needs.
13. Continuously builds knowledge on how Linde's business operates and succeeds to help the organization continue growing.
14. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

1. High School Diploma or GED required.
2. Customer Service or Counter Sales experience required; Industrial setting preferred.
3. Knowledge of welding equipment and supplies preferred.
4. No DUI/DWI or other alcohol (driving) related convictions within the last ten (10) years.
5. 2 years of consecutive driving experience or have recently received a certification from an accredited Truck Driving School.
6. Valid class A or B CDL is required.
7. Current Hazmat Endorsement on CDL strongly preferred or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire.
8. No preventable accidents, license suspensions, or other moving violations in the past 2 years.
9. Pass a DOT physical and obtain a medical certificate.
10. Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 75 pounds.
11. Read and write in English.
12. 21 years or older.
