Local Delivery Driver (CDL A or B) (Transportation)

Join a dynamic team as a safety-focused Truck Driver at Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. and help make the world more productive every day! Linde drivers are responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of compressed gas cylinders, hard goods, and associated products, following a computer-generated local route to customer locations. This position is physically active and involves loading/unloading at client sites. Drivers engage with customers by responding to their needs and providing excellent customer service.

Pay Range: $28.50 - $30.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Responsibilities:

1. Deliver products to customers, making an average of 10-12 stops per day, handling freight, completing paperwork, and providing excellent customer service.
2. Accurately count and record the quantities and styles of products delivered and picked up.
3. Complete hazardous material shipping documentation in accordance with DOT regulations.
4. Conduct and report pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
5. Identify the need for vehicle repairs and/or maintenance.
6. Build relationships with internal and external customers to meet business and customer needs.
7. Continuously expand your knowledge of Linde's operations to contribute to organizational growth.
8. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of consecutive driving experience or recent certification from an accredited Truck Driving School.
• Valid Class A or B CDL.
• Current Hazmat Endorsement or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire.
• No preventable accidents, license suspensions, or moving violations in the past 2 years.
• No alcohol-related convictions in the last 10 years.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical and obtain a medical certificate.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 75 pounds.
• Proficiency in reading and writing in English.
• High School diploma or G.E.D.
• Minimum age of 21 years.
• Strong organizational, listening, and communication skills.
