Job Description - Local Delivery Driver (CDL A or B) (25000771)

Join a dynamic team as a safety-focused Truck Driver at Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. and help make the world more productive every day!

Location: Houston, TX

Linde drivers are responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of compressed gas cylinders, hard goods, and associated products, following a computer-generated local route to customer locations. This position involves physical activity, including loading and unloading at client sites, and engaging with customers to provide excellent service.

Responsibilities:

1. Deliver products to customers, making 10-12 stops daily, handling freight, paperwork, and customer service
2. Accurately record delivery and pickup quantities and styles
3. Complete hazardous material shipping documents per DOT regulations
4. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
5. Identify vehicle maintenance needs
6. Build relationships with customers to meet business and customer goals
7. Continuously learn about Linde’s operations to support growth
8. Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of driving experience or recent certification from an accredited Truck Driving School
• Valid Class A or B CDL
• Hazmat endorsement preferred or ability to obtain within 60 days
• No preventable accidents or violations in past 2 years
• No recent alcohol-related convictions
• Pass DOT physical and obtain medical certificate
• Ability to lift at least 75 pounds
• English reading and writing skills
• High School diploma or G.E.D.
• Minimum age: 21 years
• Strong organizational, listening, and communication skills
• Commitment to safety and integrity
• Team-oriented and accountable
