Position fills in for delivery drivers who are unavailable for their shifts (due to vacation, illness, etc.). Routes for the relief driver typically change daily. The position involves delivering products to stores on established or contingency routes, or via dynamic dispatch to customers including convenience stores, gas stations, small supermarkets, and drug stores, across various weather conditions. Responsibilities include driving the delivery vehicle, unloading products, stocking shelves, building displays, setting up promotional materials, and generating invoices. The role requires frequent interaction with store management.

This position is labor-intensive, requiring lifting, loading, and pushing/pulling cases weighing 20-45 pounds repeatedly. It also involves reaching, squatting, and bending during deliveries and merchandising.

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1. Deliver products and execute all promotions
2. Service all scheduled customers by the end of shift
3. Merchandise all accounts to local standards
4. Follow DOT regulations
5. Establish positive relationships with primary contacts at each account
6. Maintain regular, reliable, and predictable attendance

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• 21 years or older
• Valid U.S. CDL or CDL Permit with Non-Excepted Interstate Status (if applicable)
• Pass the required drug test and physical capabilities test (if applicable)
• Pass DOT physical and DOT Road Test

HELPFUL EXPERIENCE:

• Operating trucks requiring a valid U.S. CDL license
• Merchandising products and building displays
• Operating equipment like pallet jacks and hand trucks
