WCS Healthcare is currently seeking a Med/Surg Nurse for a contract assignment at a prestigious hospital in State College, PA.

Job Function

• Day Shift.
• 9am - 5pm.
• Prepares and administers prescribed medications orally, subcutaneously, or intravenously, and accurately documents all administrations.
• Reports adverse reactions to medications or treatments in accordance with hospital policy and nursing protocols.
• Educates patients on surgical procedures and post-operative care to ensure understanding and preparedness.
• Records patients’ medical histories, vital signs, and other essential health information accurately.
• Monitors and adjusts specialized medical equipment, interpreting and documenting electronic readings as needed.
  
  

Job Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing or holder of a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN).
• Current RN license in the state of Pennsylvania.
• 2 years of acute care Med/Surg RN experience required
• BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association.
• Orthopedic experience preferred.
