The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of RN experience, including at least 2 years in CVICU, and must hold a valid RN license in Maryland along with BLS, ACLS, and CPR certifications.

Job Details

Job Title: RN (CVICU) | Location: Baltimore, MD | Pay Range: $94.09/hr | Schedule: 36 hours per week, 3x12 nights (19:00‑07:30) (every other weekend; holidays as scheduled) | Contract Length: 16 weeks | Candidate Type: Traveler friendly – travel reimbursement available

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• At least 2 years in CVICU
• Valid RN license in the state of Maryland, BLS, ACLS, and CPR required
• Experience with IABP & Impella
• Willingness to obtain additional state licensure if necessary
• Preferred: NIHSS and CCRN credentials

Responsibilities

• Deliver RN‑level care for CVICU patients requiring advanced therapy, including management of IABP and Impella patients with close monitoring and intervention as needed.
• Support ICU‑level procedures and advanced treatments such as bedside central line/A‑line insertion, Swan/PA catheter insertion, targeted temperature management, CRRT, and ventilator/cooling device management.
• Apply critical care nursing best practices using ICU/CVICU keywords—hemodynamic monitoring, cardiogenic shock, cardiac arrest, heart failure, arrhythmias (including heart blocks), MI, and LVAD/heart transplant workups.
