Qualifications

Job Details

• Position: Nuclear Medical Technologist
• Number of positions: 1
• Experience: 2+ years required
• Shift: Day shifts, 40 hours/week
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Start Date: 04/28/2024
• Hourly pay: $65.52
• Overtime: 1.5x

Responsibilities

• Maintain and operate cameras for diagnostic imaging using radioactive drugs.
• Position patients and select technical factors accurately.
• Order, prepare, administer, and dispose of radiopharmaceuticals per protocols.
• Follow radiation safety procedures.
• Ensure high-quality images and proper documentation sent to PACS.
• Maintain equipment functionality and report issues.
• Assist in maintaining a clean department.

Minimum Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience as a Nuclear Medical Technologist.
• Certifications: ARRT Nuclear Med or CNMT, NYS nuclear med license.

Preferred Qualifications

• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Strong technical skills and passion for patient care.
• Graduate from accredited Nuclear Med Tech program.
• Active unencumbered Iowa Nuclear Medical Technologist license.
• One year of Cerner experience.
