Job summary
gpac is seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator in the St. Louis area to join a well-established local electrical contractor.
You will focus on local commercial and industrial projects, reviewing plans and bid documents to deliver accurate estimates. This role offers a strong backlog of local projects, competitive salary, bonus opportunities, comprehensive benefits, and long-term growth with minimal travel.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of electrical estimating experience required.
- Commercial and/or industrial electrical background.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical plans and specs.
Responsibilities
- Estimate local commercial and industrial electrical projects.
- Review drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and bid documents.
- Complete material and labor takeoffs.
- Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing.
- Develop accurate and competitive project estimates.
- Prepare bids and proposals.
- Identify project risks, exclusions, and opportunities.
- Work closely with Project Managers, Operations, and leadership.
- Manage multiple estimates and bid deadlines.
- Assist with transitioning awarded projects to the Project Management team.
