Job summary

Turner Industries seeks Combination Welders in the Pasadena, TX area to lay out, fit and weld structural components, tanks and vessels. You will work on pipe, sheet metal and structural pieces using arc, MIG or TIG processes, following drawings and safety rules.

Applicants must have at least four years of welding experience, pass a pre-employment test, and be able to work outdoors in fresh air. Drug testing and physicals are required, and local candidates are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum four (4) years of experience in welding.
• Written pre-employment qualification test is required.
• Drug test and physical evaluation after offer.
• Safety orientation and client-specific safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lay out, fits and weld fabricated components for tanks, vessels and structures.
• Select equipment, plan layout, and weld pipe and structural parts per drawings.
• Weld using arc, heliarc, gas, MIG, and TIG processes as needed.
• Dismantle, straighten, and reassemble parts; cut materials with torch when required.
