Job summary

XPO is hiring a Class B Local Truck Driver in Lexington, KY to safely operate a straight truck, provide customer service, and assist with loading and unloading freight. You’ll work a flexible schedule that can include day, night and weekend shifts, with responsibilities aligned to state regulations for intrastate movement.

Pay starts at $27.36/hour, with full health insurance on day one, life and disability insurance, up to 13 days PTO in year one, 9 holidays, a 401(k) match and education

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Class B CDL without air brake restriction.
• Safe driving record and history.
• Pass DOT drug test and have no prior positive tests or refusals.
• Pass a company-paid DOT physical and pre-hire test (physical essential functions).
• Availability to work a flexible schedule up to 12-14 hours per day (day/night/weekend).
• Have or obtain Federal Medical Certificate and self-certify as Non-Exempt Interstate.
• Currently possess or be willing to obtain hazardous materials and tank endorsements within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a straight truck (GVWR 26,001 lb. or more).
• Provide excellent service to customers, including generating sales leads.
• Load and unload freight.
• Operate a straight truck based on state regulations for intrastate straight trucks.
• Operate a forklift and pallet jack to load and unload freight.
