Job summary

XPO Logistics, Inc. is hiring a Class B Driver to join our carrier team in the United States.

You will operate a straight truck, load and unload freight, and provide excellent customer service while complying with state and DOT requirements. We offer a starting pay of 27.36 USD per hour, full health insurance from day one, life and disability coverage, PTO, holidays, a 401(k) with match, and education assistance.

Qualifications

• Class B CDL without air brake restriction.
• Safe driving record and history.
• Must pass DOT drug test with no prior positives or refusals.
• Pass company-paid DOT physical and pre-hire test (essential function).
• Availability for a flexible schedule up to 12-14 hours per day, including day, night and weekend shifts.
• Have or obtain Federal Medical Certificate and self-certify as Non-Exempt Interstate.
• Willing to obtain hazardous materials and tank endorsements within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a straight truck (GVWR or GVW of 26,001 lb. or more).
• Provide excellent service to customers, including generating sales leads.
• Load and unload freight.
• Operate a straight truck per state regulations for intrastate straight trucks.
• Operate a forklift and pallet jack to load and unload freight.
• Lift objects up to 50 lbs frequently and over 75 lbs occasionally.
• Sit for extended periods and work outdoors in inclement weather; climb in/out of truck.
