Belfonte Class B Relief Driver Position

Belfonte currently has openings for a Class B relief driver. This role involves training on all routes and covering for vacations and time off. It is a salaried position with drivers working 34-45 hours per week.

Core Requirements:

• Must have a Class B commercial driver's license
• Minimum age of 21 years, as per Federal D.O.T regulations
• Ability to pass D.O.T Physical and Drug Screen
• Preferred: experience in route sales and a good driving record

Responsibilities:

The sales route driver will be responsible for:

• Driving the truck over established routes to deliver and sell dairy products or provide services to customers' businesses
• Following all Department of Transportation regulations
• Collecting payments, making change, and recording transactions
• Writing customer orders and instructions, recording sales or delivery information
• Soliciting new business from prospective customers
• Preparing order forms and sales contracts
• Informing regular customers about new products or services
• Resolving service complaints

Physical Requirements:

The driver must be able to:

• Climb, crawl, and walk in various positions to load/unload products, set up displays, and handle merchandise
• Stack and unstack items weighing up to 50 pounds from approximately seven feet high
• Handle milk stacks weighing around 240 pounds
• Work outdoors in extreme temperatures (hot and cold) throughout the year

Additional Responsibilities:

Maintain cleanliness of the truck, perform routine maintenance, and operate the vehicle safely, courteously, and efficiently.
