Job summary

Amerhart, Ltd. is seeking a Class A Driver for local routes with home daily. You will load, secure, tarp, and deliver building materials such as lumber and drywall to customer sites, using a Moffett truck when required.

Pre- and post-trip inspections and careful documentation are essential. Candidates should have a valid CDL A, a clean driving record, and experience with flatbed freight and load securement.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A license.
• Experience with flatbed hauling and load securement preferred.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations related to flatbed freight.
• Strong safety history and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to pass DOT physical, drug screen, and background check.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Class A flatbed tractor-trailer on local routes, returning home daily.
• Operate a Moffett truck for jobsite deliveries.
• Transport building materials such as lumber, drywall, steel, roofing products, and construction supplies.
• Load, secure, tarp, and unload flatbed materials with straps, chains, binders and tarps.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report safety or maintenance issues promptly.
• Deliver materials safely and on time to customer locations and construction sites.
• Maintain delivery paperwork, logs and ELD records as required.
• Follow DOT, OSHA and company safety policies.
