Job summary

RAS Logistics is seeking local Class A Day Cab Owner Operators to haul building and home improvement materials for a major retailer. Contractors run their own business, with weekly settlements and no OTR, delivering to homes and job sites across local routes.

Applicants must own LLC, have active USDOT and MC authority, carry required insurance, and meet DOT/FMCSA safety standards. This independent contractor role offers steady volume and the freedom to manage routes and schedules.

Qualifications

• Must own LLC or other legal business entity.
• Active USDOT number and MC authority, or ability to obtain them.
• Required insurance: auto liability, general liability, umbrella/excess, cargo, and workers' comp or occupational accident coverage as applicable.
• Ability to meet DOT and FMCSA safety and qualification requirements.

• Deliver to customer homes and job sites.

Average $700 per full route day + fuel surcharge*

• Local routes, typically 100–150 miles and 7–12 stops/day, with no OTR
• Steady volume Monday–Saturday for contractors who want to keep their trucks busy
• Weekly settlements and driver-only routes
• No flatbed? Rental available through RAS
• Must have a Class A day cab, LLC, and DOT/MC authority

What You Need

• Your own LLC or other legal business entity
• Active USDOT number and MC authority, or the ability to obtain them
• Required insurance: auto liability, general liability, umbrella/excess, cargo, and workers' comp or occupational accident coverage as applicable
• Ability to meet DOT and FMCSA safety and qualification requirements

Preferred

• Forklift experience (Moffett/truck-mounted forklift is a plus)
• Building materials or job-site delivery experience
