Job summary

RAS Logistics is hiring a Local Class A Day Cab Owner Operator. This contractor role runs on local routes, typically 100–150 miles with 7–12 stops per day. You’ll operate your own LLC with required DOT/MC authority, delivering building materials to homes and job sites.

Contractors enjoy steady Monday–Saturday work, weekly settlements, and control over routes, with fuel surcharges and a 700 USD daily average. Independent contracting terms apply.

Qualifications

• Active USDOT number and MC authority or the ability to obtain them
• Required insurance: auto liability, general liability, umbrella/excess, cargo, and workers' comp or occupational accident coverage as applicable
• Ability to meet DOT and FMCSA safety and qualification requirements

Average $700 per full route day + fuel surcharge*

• Local routes, typically 100–150 miles and 7–12 stops/day, with no OTR
• Steady volume Monday–Saturday for contractors who want to keep their trucks busy
• Weekly settlements and driver-only routes
• No flatbed? Rental available through RAS
• Must have a Class A day cab, LLC, and DOT/MC authority

What You Need

• Your own LLC or other legal business entity
• Active USDOT number and MC authority, or the ability to obtain them
• Required insurance: auto liability, general liability, umbrella/excess, cargo, and workers' comp or occupational accident coverage as applicable
• Ability to meet DOT and FMCSA safety and qualification requirements

Preferred

• Forklift experience (Moffett/truck-mounted forklift is a plus)
• Building materials or job-site delivery experience
