Job summary

RAS Logistics is seeking experienced CDL Class A Owner Operators / Independent Contract Carriers to provide flatbed delivery services for building and home improvement products. If you own and operate your own transportation business, this opportunity offers consistent delivery opportunities with an established logistics company, including routes up to 6 days per week and weekly settlements.

Operate as a legal business entity with your own tractor/power unit, maintain DOT and insurance

Qualifications

• Flatbed experience preferred.
• Owner-operator with ability to run your own business.
• Able to obtain Interstate Motor Carrier Authority and USDOT numbers.
• Provide required insurance certificates including liability, cargo, and workers' compensation where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide flatbed transportation for building/home improvement products.
• Deliver to customer locations and job sites on schedule.
• Secure freight per DOT requirements.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Maintain transportation and delivery documentation.
• Communicate professionally with dispatch, warehouse teams and customers.
• Operate trailer-mounted forklift/Moffett when applicable.

What You'll Be Doing

As an Independent Contract Carrier, you will provide professional transportation and delivery services for building and home improvement products.

Services may include:

• Transporting building and home improvement materials using flatbed equipment
• Completing scheduled deliveries to customer locations and job sites
• Properly securing freight in accordance with applicable DOT requirements
• Conducting required pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Maintaining required transportation and delivery documentation
• Communicating professionally with dispatch, warehouse teams, and customers
• Providing safe, dependable, and customer-focused delivery service
• Operating a trailer-mounted forklift/Moffett when applicable

Independent Contract Carriers must:

• Operate as a legal business entity
• Have or be able to obtain their own Interstate Motor Carrier Authority
• Maintain required USDOT and MC authority
• Provide required Certificates of Insurance, including applicable:
  • Auto Liability
  • General Liability
  • Umbrella/Excess Liability
  • Cargo
  • Workers' Compensation or Occupational Accident/Workers Injury coverage, as applicable
• Provide their own tractor/power unit
• Meet applicable DOT and safety requirements
• Successfully complete required background and qualification processes
• Maintain strong customer service and communication standards

Preferred Experience

• Flatbed delivery experience
• Building materials or home improvement delivery experience
• Experience securing oversized, building-material, or construction-related freight
• Familiarity with customer and job-site deliveries
