Job summary

J Rose Logistics is hiring for a local Class A CDL driver based in Maryland. You will haul freight from the Perryville distribution center on dedicated regional loops into Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Staten Island, NY, and return to the DC.

The role involves 10–20 stops weekly with pallet-jack loading/unloading and night dispatch windows between 6:00 PM and 1:00 AM. Applicants must have a valid CDL, 3 months of solo experience, and be able to lift 75 lbs.

Qualifications

• License: Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Experience: 3 months solo Verifiable Class A CDL driving experience.
• Physical stamina: Lift and pull up to 75 lbs routinely to manage pallet jack deliveries.
• Commute: Reliable personal transportation to commute daily to the yard; trucks parked at the DC and not taken home.
• Must live within 45 miles of Perryville, MD.
• Must pass a standard DOT physical, drug screen, and background check

Key Responsibilities & Fleet Details

• The Route: Pull freight directly from the Perryville, MD distribution center, executing dedicated regional loops into Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Staten Island, NY, before returning back to the DC.
• Active Unloading (Touch Freight): This is a multi-stop delivery fleet averaging 10 to 20 stops per week. Drivers are responsible for loading and unloading trailers utilizing company-provided pallet jacks.
• Night Operations: The fleet operates 24/7. Available dispatch windows start in the evening and early morning hours between 6:00 PM and 1:00 AM.

Requirements

• License: Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Experience: 3 months solo Verifiable Class A CDL driving experience.
• Physical Stamina: Must be physically capable of lifting and pulling up to 75 lbs. routinely to manage pallet jack deliveries.
