Job summary

Ben E. Keith Company is seeking a Shuttle Driver to deliver loaded trailers to the shuttle depot and return empty trailers while maintaining delivery windows and following safety standards.

The role requires a valid Class A CDL with Double/Triple endorsements, DOT certification, and a clean driving record. Candidates should be able to operate 28–48 ft trailers and pass DOT screening; high school diploma or GED is acceptable with work experience considered.

Qualifications

• Must have a good driving record with no more than 1 moving violation in the past three years.
• Applicant must pass required Drug and Physical Screening. At least 1 year of DOT driving experience required.
• Must have a valid state issued Class A CDL driver's license with Double/Triple Trailer endorsements.
• Must have DOT certified. If you are not able to climb in and out of tractor, then you cannot be DOT certified.
• Ability to operate/drive a single axle with 28 ft., 36 ft., and 48 ft., trailers with tandem axle tractors.
• Must have High School Diploma or GED - Work experience may be substituted for education.

Responsibilities

Physical Requirements

• Able to perform repetitive lift over 50lbs.
• Must be able to work in all types of weather conditions.
• Must have normal use of shoulders, arms, wrist, hands, feet and legs.
• Must be able to climb in and out of truck and trailer.
• Must be able to read numbers and product descriptions.

Driver safety is important to Ben E. Keith. We use dash cameras which leverage artificial intelligence to recognize safe driving, capture safety events and improve driver safety performance. The videos are also used to exonerate drivers in accidents. All drivers sign a driver consent form upon hire to confirm their understanding.
