Job summary

Ben E. Keith Company is seeking a CDL-A Shuttle Driver to support stable, full-time operations in Texas. The role emphasizes safety, on-time deliveries, and building experience with a respected distributor.

You will operate Class A tractors, follow DOT requirements, and work in a team-oriented environment with opportunities for growth within transportation and distribution.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with Double/Triple endorsements is required.
• DOT qualified and able to meet all DOT requirements.
• Good driving record with no more than one moving violation in 3 years.
• Pass DOT physical, drug screening, and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Transport loaded trailers from branch to shuttle locations.
• Return empty trailers to branch for reloading.
• Safely operate Class A vehicles per DOT and company rules.
• Maintain scheduled delivery and pickup times.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Communicate issues or delays to management.
• Represent Ben E. Keith professionally with customers and vendors.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.

What You'll Do

As a Shuttle Driver, You Will

• Transport loaded trailers from the branch to designated shuttle locations.
• Return empty trailers to the branch for reloading.
• Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles while following all DOT and company regulations.
• Maintain scheduled delivery and pickup times.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Communicate any issues, delays, or safety concerns to management immediately.
• Represent Ben E. Keith professionally with customers, vendors, and fellow team members.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Ability to pass a DOT physical, drug screening, and background requirements.
• At Least One Year Of Commercial Driving Experience Preferred.
• High school diploma or GED preferred; relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of education.
• Ability to safely operate tractors with 28', 36', and 48' trailers.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds on a repetitive basis.
• Ability to climb in and out of tractors and trailers frequently.
• Ability to work in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to read route information, product descriptions, and safety documentation.
• Normal use of hands, arms, shoulders, legs, and feet to safely perform job duties.
