Job summary

Ben E. Keith is seeking a CDL-A Shuttle Driver to join our transportation team. This role emphasizes safety, predictable routes, and regular home time as you move trailers between branches and shuttle locations.

You will operate Class A vehicles, perform inspections, and maintain on-time deliveries while adhering to DOT regulations. A stable, full-time position with growth within transportation and distribution is offered.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with 1 year of driving experience.
• Must have Double/Triple endorsements.
• DOT qualified and able to meet all DOT requirements.
• Good driving record with no more than one moving violation in the past three years.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screening.
• Ability to safely operate tractors with 28', 36', and 48' trailers.
• High school diploma or GED preferred; relevant work experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Transport loaded trailers from the branch to designated shuttle locations.
• Return empty trailers to the branch for reloading.
• Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles while following all DOT and company regulations.
• Maintain scheduled delivery and pickup times.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Communicate any issues, delays, or safety concerns to management immediately.
• Represent Ben E. Keith professionally with customers, vendors, and fellow team members.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

What You'll Do

• Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds on a repetitive basis.
• Ability to climb in and out of tractors and trailers frequently.
• Ability to work in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to read route information, product descriptions, and safety documentation.
• Normal use of hands, arms, shoulders, legs, and feet to safely perform job duties.
