Job summary

Herman N Logistics in Indianapolis is seeking a local/intermodal CDL driver to run daily between Indianapolis and Chicago with home daily and strong earning potential.

The role features mostly drop-and-hook freight, no-touch operations, company-owned equipment, and a slip-seat fleet. A $10,000 sign-on bonus and safety bonuses are offered, with PTO starting day one and generous time-off benefits after tenure.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL is required.
• Hazmat endorsement required within 60 days of hire.
• Minimum 3 months of verifiable Class A CDL experience.
• Reliable transportation to the terminal.
• Ability to complete daily runs Indianapolis–Chicago.

Responsibilities

• Operate intermodal freight between Indianapolis and Chicago.
• Majority no-touch and 75% drop-and-hook freight.
• Home daily with daily runs to Chicago and back; local work within ~100 miles of Indianapolis.
• Report to the Indianapolis terminal daily for dispatch and truck assignment.
• Slip-seating operation: trucks shared between drivers; tractors stay at yard during time off.
