Requirements
- Valid driver’s license; no CDL needed.
- Physical ability to lift and move odd‑shaped, sized, and weighted construction materials; may require manual loading/unloading in addition to forklift use.
- Local knowledge of Nashville area for efficient deliveries.
- GPS‑enabled smartphone for reporting hours and travel time.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Safely operate a 26‑ft Mack truck and a 1‑ton pickup truck with a gooseneck trailer for regional deliveries.
- Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Load and secure freight according to safety standards; haul non‑standard, non‑palletized construction materials.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and communicate schedules effectively with customers and the shop team.
- Capture photos of outgoing and incoming deliveries to document.
- Relay real‑time updates on production and delivery status.
- Adhere to all DOT regulations and company policies.
- Lift and maneuver up to 50 pounds regularly; balance driving with hands‑on team work.
- Display strong attention to detail, safety‑focused mindset, and reliability.
- Basic knowledge of infrastructure and site construction is a plus.
- Exceptional communication skills and a customer‑first attitude.
